France has seized a tanker that is suspected of being owned by Russia.

French military personnel boarded the oil tanker Boracay, suspected of being part of Russia’s covert “shadow fleet” used to circumvent international sanctions. The vessel, anchored near Saint Nazaire, failed to provide valid documentation of its nationality and ignored official orders, prompting a legal investigation. French media showed masked soldiers patrolling the ship, and reports indicate they’ve been on board since Saturday.
