A main opposition party leader has been placed in pre-trial detention.
A main leader of the Georgian opposition leader has been placed in pre-trial detention. The charge made against him is contempt of parliament for refusing to cooperate with an invesitgation into crimes committed under former President Mikheil Saakashvili. The opposition party has said the investigation is a governmental overreach and his called for protests.
