American officials have announced that a potential ceasefire has been agreed to by Hamas and Israel. Officials in Egypt have also confirmed that a deal is close to being finalized. The deal has three phases with Hamas releasing hostages and other prisoners being in waves in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel being released. The final details of military disengagement and border controls have yet to be finalized.
