Tensions have rise in Lebanon over plans to disarm Hezbollah.

Tensions are high in Lebanon after plans to disarm Hezbollah have been proposed by the government. Reports indicate that Hezbollah and its allies boycotted a cabinet meeting over a planned discussion of this plan. The disarmament of Hezbollah has been a long term aim of Israel and a part of several ceasefire agreements signed between Lebanon and Israel.
