Hurricane Priscilla spun 210 miles southwest of Cabo Corrientes with 85 mph winds, prompting tropical storm watches from Cabo San Lucas to Santa Fe and Manzanillo to Punta Mita. Forecasters predicted up to 6 inches of rain could fall on southwestern Mexico through Wednesday, creating flash flood risks in Michoacán and Colima states. The hurricane was expected to intensify to Category 2 strength over the coming days while generating life-threatening surf and rip currents along Mexico’s coast.
