India’s lower house of parliament has passed a bill that changes how Muslim endowments are governed.
India’s lower house of parliament has passed a bill that would chage how Muslim enodwments are governed. The bill would permit non-Muslims to serve on the board’s which administer the religous endowement boards. The bill was moved by the BJP party and denouced by the Congress Party and minority groups. Critics say that bill could be used to initiate sales of Muslim religous sites.
