Israel has released the bodies of fifteen Palestinian prisoners as part of the second phase of the truce.

The ICRC said this marks the culmination of a months‑long operation tied to the ceasefire’s first phase, which included exchanges of living and deceased hostages and prisoners. Gaza’s health ministry confirmed receipt of the bodies and noted the difficulty of identifying many remains, while ongoing violence continues to strain the fragile ceasefire.
