Fighters of the mostly kurdish SDF have withdrawn from parts of Aleppo as part of a deal with the new government. This is the next phase an agreement between the parties to reach a permanent merger of the SDF with the new government. Kurdish leaders have emphaized that they do not seek to have their own government but what to have their basic rights protected.
