Live ammunition used against Nepal anti-graft protesters, forensics show

Evidence has shown that live ammunition was used against protesters in Nepal.

Forensic evidence confirms that at least 33 protesters killed during Nepal’s recent anti-corruption demonstrations were struck by live bullets from high-velocity firearms. The protests, led by Gen-Z activists, resulted in 74 deaths and the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. The interim government has launched an investigation, while the UN has called for transparency and accountability. Autopsies revealed most victims were shot in the head or chest, raising serious concerns about excessive force by security forces.
