Russian forces unleashed a “massive” missile on Ukrainian infrastructure on Wednesday. Officials were forced to impose emergency power cuts across the country. Ukraine’s air defenses have shot down at least 30 of over 40 missiles that were launched by Russia. The attack focused on targeting gas and energy facilities in Ukraine. At least one ballistic missile was launched, as well as dozens of attack drones. Ukraine’s Air Force said that energy facilities in the Kharkiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were damaged from the incident. Russia has continued to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure this winter, leaving the country’s energy network close to collapse.
