Morocco charges more than 2,400 people over Gen Z protests

Thousands of people have been charged for their involvement in protests in Morocco.

In Morocco, authorities have charged more than 2,400 people in connection with the unrest, with over 1,400 still in custody facing serious charges including armed rebellion and violence against public officials. Rights groups say the state response has been overly harsh a raising concerns about suppression of dissent. Protests however did turn violent in several cities, leaving three dead, many injured and property damage reported.
