The Israeli government has announced that it will establish a new security corridor accross the Gaza Strip. The government of Israel said the move is intended to pressue Hamas into releasing the remaining hostages. The resumption of hostitilies has caused the United Nations to say that 60% of the Gaza Strip is a no-go zone. Hamas has said it will release the remaining hostages if Israel releases additional Palestinian prisoners and withdraws from the Gaza Strip.
