Russia’s major drone-missile assault kills two in Kyiv.

Russia launched one of its largest aerial attacks on Kyiv in months, deploying 426 Shahed and decoy drones alongside 24 missiles to kill two people and wound 15. A drone struck the entrance of a Shevchenkivskyi district subway station and Darnytskyi, damaging a kindergarten, supermarket, and warehouses. The strike came hours before Britain and Germany chaired a Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting to advance Trump’s plan for NATO allies to send Patriot air-defense systems and other U.S. weapons. France’s foreign minister toured the damage and pledged local drone production as NATO officials and Ukraine’s defense minister pushed a “50-day drive” to speed deliveries.
