A peacekeeping force of southern Afircan nation’s will be withdrawn from eastern Congo.

A peacekeeping force composed of troops from the Southern African Development Committee will withdraw from eastern Congo. This comes as public pressue has built on the block to withdraw forces due to the casualites they have sustained in the region. Rebels in eastern Congo have continued their offensive against the government with the alleged aid of Rwanda.
