At least 10 people were killed late Friday when a suicide bomber targeted a restaurant in Konduga, a town near Maiduguri in Nigeria’s Borno state. Local reports say the attacker was female and used the cover of heavy rain to evade notice before detonating the device. No group has claimed responsibility, though similar attacks in the region have been linked to Boko Haram and its offshoot, the Islamic State’s West Africa Province.
