Syrian government and Druze factions have carried out a prisoner exchange.
The Syrian government and Druze factions in Sweida carried out their first prisoner exchange since last summer’s sectarian clashes. Damascus released 61 detainees, while Druze National Guard Forces freed 25 government personnel. The operation was supervised by the International Committee of the Red Cross. Officials hope the exchange will support further humanitarian dialogue amid ongoing instability in the province.
