Thailand has moved to hold a referendum on border demarcation.

Thailand’s Prime Minister announced plans to hold a referendum on revoking two longstanding agreements with Cambodia regarding border demarcation. The move follows deadly clashes in July that killed at least 48 people and displaced thousands. Critics argue that canceling the agreements could worsen tensions unless a clear replacement framework is agreed upon with Cambodia.
