Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have agreed to a draft peace proposal.

The United States has annouced that the Congo and Rwanda have agreed to a draft peace proposal. Details of the agreement have not yet been made public. National leaders have indicated that it seeks to work towards a long term solution to end the decades of conflict in eastern Congo.
