Total blackout after drone strikes, fire in Sudanese city of Port Sudan

Drones are believed to have struck a fuel depot in Port Sudan, fired by the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Multiple explosions were heard, and a fire erupted in the city for the third day in a row. The port is Sudan’s main maritime port and a major hub for both Sudan’s army and refugees. The Port Sudan International Airport, a power station, and a hotel were also hit in the strikes. The hit on the power station caused a blackout across the city. The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan is likely to be worsened by these latest attacks.
