Train collision in Slovakia leaves 13 hospitalized as prime minister says human error likely cause

Human error blamed for train collision.

An express train struck a passenger train near Pezinok, north of Bratislava, injuring dozens. Out of about 800 passengers, 79 were taken to hospitals, with 13 still receiving care but none in critical condition. Prime Minister Robert Fico said human error likely caused the crash and refused the transport minister’s resignation. It was the second train collision in Slovakia within a month, following an October crash in the east that left two passengers critically injured.
