Ukraine energy company says its facilities seriously damaged after 13 Russian strikes in a week

Russia intensifies strikes on Ukraine’s energy and civilian sites.

Naftogaz said its facilities were hit 13 times in a week and nearly 300 times this year as Russia continues targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure to strain civilian resilience ahead of winter. A separate strike on a DTEK mine killed a worker, while both countries expanded long‑range drone and missile attacks that caused additional civilian deaths overnight. Security concerns in Moscow led organizers to cancel a major military music festival as Ukrainian drones increasingly reach the region. Ukraine is boosting domestic weapons production and developing new ballistic and anti‑ballistic capabilities as Russian attacks escalate and civilian casualties rise.
