Ukraine has stated that North Korean soldiers were killed while fighting alongside Russian forces against Ukraine. The deaths occurred in the Kursk border region. Neither Russia nor North have commented on the claim. It is believed that around 30 North Korean troops have been killed or injured in the fighting. The Pentagon has supported Ukraine’s claims, stating that the U.S has found indications of the deaths and injuries of North Korean troops.
