The UN mission in Libya has announced that it intends to start new talks aimed at resolving the political deadlock in Libya. Libya has remained divided between rival governments in the east and west halves of the country. The internationally recognized government’s representative to the UN warned that this plan does not contain enough concrete commitments to resolving the deadlock and will not produce results.
