Venezuela has suspended 19 oil and gas production contracts.
Venezuela’s oil ministry has suspended 19 production‑sharing contracts signed under President Nicolás Maduro. The suspension has not affected oil and gas output, and PDVSA continues selling crude from the projects. Caracas and Washington are jointly reviewing the contracts and may revoke some due to concerns over the firms involved. The review follows a recent hydrocarbon law reform intended to attract foreign investment into Venezuela’s struggling oil industry.
