A missile strike set the Minervagracht cargo ship ablaze in the Gulf of Aden on Monday, forcing all 19 crew members to evacuate by helicopter. Two mariners suffered injuries in the attack, which caused substantial damage to the vessel. The assault marks the most serious incident in the Gulf of Aden since August 2024 and expands the geographic range of Houthi operations away from their typical Red Sea targets.
