Negotiations over a EU-Mercosur trade deal have entered the final stages.

EU leaders have begun talks with South American representatives on the final terms of an EU-Mercosur trade deal. The trade deal would see trade barriers between two of the worlds largest trading blocs reduced. There remains several opponents to the deal in Europe with farmers being particularly opposed. However, Germany and other states are strongly in the favor of the deal.
