France’s Socialists submit no-confidence bill amid pensions dispute, weakening Bayrou

France’s socialist party has submitted a no confidence bill.

France’s socialist party has submitted a no confidence bill after talks with government failed. Talks concerning pension reform failed to produce a deal due to conflicts over benefits payments. The current government is now more vulnerable to a confidence vote as left-wing and right-wing parties have enough votes to force the Prime Minister out.
