Indonesia has formally joined the BRICS bloc.

Indonesia has formally agreed to join the BRICS bloc. The group had previously endorsed the nation joining in 2023, but Indonesia waited to formally join until a government could be formed. Turkey, Malaysia, Azerbaijan and several other countries have also requested to join the bloc.
