Pakistan’s finance minister has traveled to Beijing to begin talks on restructing the nation’s debt. Talks have focused on proposals to reprofile 15 billion dollars of debt in the energy sector. These talks come after the International Monetary Fund suggested that Pakistan seek debt relief from China as part of a broader plan to restructure the nation’s debt.
