Argentine President Milei has appointed two Justices to the country’s Supreme Court while the nation’s Congress was on summer recess. The move has sparked backlash as the two Justices had not been confirmed by the country’s Congress. Milei says that the Congress’s refusal to move forward the nominations forced him to use his recess appointment power as the court could not function without additional members.
