Britain and the European Union struck a landmark deal which would remove some post-Brexit trade barriers on Monday. The agreement will increase cooperation between Britain and the E.U. on issues such as security and defense, coming as they work to reduce reliance on the United States. Several important policies have details which have not been finalized, and Britain was forced to make concessions that could reflect negatively on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Although it is believed that many now think Brexit was a mistake, the country still remains starkly divided politically.
