Romania and Bulgaria have officially joined the Schengen zone.

Romania and Bulgaria have officially joined the Schengen zone. Short ceremonies were held on the board of Romania and Bulgaria to mark the occasion. The two countries had partially joined the Schengen zone in March of 2024, but negotiations on full entry took longer to finish.
