The health care staff shortage crisis is especially severe in eastern North Kivu province, where confirmed infections jumped 73% across a three-week span. As of yesterday, the Ebola epidemic has reached seven provinces, resulting in 7,773 confirmed cases and 3,759 fatalities based on official government tallies.
