Denmark has detained an Iran-flagged container ship.

Denmark’s maritime authority detained an Iran‑flagged container ship named Nora after discovering it was not properly registered. The ship had initially claimed Comoros registry, but Comoros informed Danish authorities it was not in its records. The vessel will remain detained until a flag state proves valid registration, with a port‑state inspection pending safe weather conditions. LSEG data showed Nora recently switched from the Comoros to the Iranian flag and shares an IMO number with a U.S.-sanctioned vessel once named CERUS.
