Poland is accusing Russia of sabotage, summoning the country’s ambassador and closing its consulate in Krakow. The actions were announced on Monday, coming as Poland reported that following an investigation, it was revealed that a massive fire in Warsaw in May 2024 at a shopping center had been orchestrated by Russian intelligence services. Poland’s role as an aid hub for Ukraine has resulted in it being the target of Russian cyberattacks, misinformation, and sabotage. Several other Western nations have made similar accusations against Russia since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
