Dutch government says pro-Russian hackers target municipalities linked to this week’s NATO summit

Dutch authorities report pro-Russian cyberattacks ahead of NATO summit in The Hague.

On Monday, the Netherlands’ National Cybersecurity Center confirmed denial-of-service attacks targeting municipalities and NATO-linked organizations. The attacks, claimed by the hacker group NoName057(16), are believed to have ideological motives. While the city of The Hague, which is hosting the summit, remains operational, officials have launched a heightened security response under “Orange Shield.”
