German court throws out Peruvian farmer’s climate case against RWE

A German court has thrown out a lawsuit brought by Peruvian farmers.

A German court has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Peruvian farmers against RWE. The farmers alleged that RWE’s business pratices had contributed to climate changed and harmed their livelyhoods. The Court found that the plaintiff could not prove suffient damage to justify judicial intervention under Germany law.
