Hamas is delaying the release of more Israeli captives “until further notice” over Israeli ceasefire violations. The captive release was previously planned for Saturday. Israel and Hamas are currently in the middle of a six-week ceasefire, during which Hamas is releasing dozens of captives in exchange for thousands of Palestinian prisoners. However, Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida said that Israel has violated multiple aspects of the truce. The violations include delaying returning displaced persons to northern Gaza, targeting displaced persons with shelling and gunfire, and preventing the entry of relief materials.
