Nigeria has begun to provide a malaria vaccine to young children.

Nigeria has announced that it will begin to provide young children malaria vaccines. The vaccine was developed by Oxford University and has been observed to have a 75% effectiveness rate. Africa sees the vast majority of the world’s malaria cases and Nigeria in particular has a very high prevalence of cases.
