Heavy rains kill residents and cut off northwest Haiti.

The storms also destroyed a bridge, damaged dozens of roads, and wiped out crops in a country already facing severe food insecurity. The hardest‑hit areas include Port‑de‑Paix, Saint Louis du Nord, and Anse‑a‑Foleur. Local officials say they cannot reach communities in urgent need because flooding has blocked access and forced schools and businesses to close.
