The U.S. military has intercepted missiles and drones fired by the Houthis towards U.S. Navy ships in the Gulf of Aden. The forces were able to fend off the attack from the Yemen-based armed group and escort three commercial vessels through the gulf. The U.S. Central Command said that two destroyers were able to intercept the barrage of missiles and drones. No injuries or damage has been reported. U.S. troops in the region have been exchanging fire with the Houthis for months. The Houthis are trying to induce pressure to end Israel’s war in Gaza.
