Houthi fighters launched missile and drone attacks on U.S. warships off the coast of Yemen on Tuesday. The Iran-backed group fired missiles and drones at the warships in an attack that lasted hours. The Houthis have claimed that it attacked two U.S. destroyers and the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces were able to successfully repel the Houthi attacks, and neither of the ships were damaged. No personnel were injured in the incident. While the Houthis claim to have attacked USS Abraham Lincoln, a Pentagon spokesperson was unaware of any attacks on the vessel. The Houthis have been carrying out attacks in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden for a year, targeting over 90 vessels.
