Israeli Spy Chief to Step Down After Clash With Netanyahu 

On Monday, the head of Israel’s domestic intelligence service made the announcement that he would step down from his position in June. The resignation ends his clash with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after multiple of his aides were accused of impropriety dealings with Qatar. Netanyahu had fired the head chief, Ronen Bar, back in mid-March after the controversy, but public backlash had ensued and Israel’s Supreme Court suspended the firing. While Bar still hopes that the Supreme Court justices would rule on the case, he plans to step down on June 15.
