Jordan has thwarted a plot threatening its national security, arresting 16 people. The plan had involved manufacturing, explosives, a drone production site, and the illegal import of rockets. The suspects have been referred to Jordan’s security court by the General Intelligence Department for trial. At least one rocket was found ready to be launched. The authorities had been surveilling the plot since 2021. The suspects were connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is Jordan’s largest opposition group.
