Millions without power as Cuba hit by another nationwide blackout 

Millions of Cubans are without power again as the Cuban national power grid has collapsed. Cuba’s top electricity producer, the Antonio Guiteras power plant in Matanzas, shut down early Wednesday morning. This prompted the country’s entire power grid to collapse. The Ministry of Energy and Mines stated that it is currently working to restore power. There have been reports of blackouts in other areas across Cuba, suggesting the possibility that the entire island is without power. The government has not yet confirmed this to be true. Cuba’s power plants are fueled by oil, and are struggling as oil imports from various countries have decreased this year.
