Netanyahu Will Meet Trump in Washington in a Sign of Their Strong Ties 

President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel are set to meet this week at the White House. This will be the second such visit by Netanyahu since Trump’s inauguration earlier this year. Despite Trump’s efforts to negotiate a truce between Israel and Hamas, Netanyahu renewed Israel’s military campaign against Hamas last month. The two leaders will discuss the war and Trump’s recently enacted tariffs, including a 17 percent tariff on Israeli goods. The visit highlights the strong relations between the two leaders.
