The U.S. government has confirmed that recent sightings of mysterious drones do not pose a threat to national security or public safety. The government’s statement comes in response to over 5,000 reported drone sightings over the past few weeks, which have raised concern across the country. The sightings have sparked concern for a U.S. government cover-up or foreign threats. After investigation, the FBI found that these sightings were a mix of hobbyists, commercial drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as other things mistaken to be drones.
