Following the docking of a U.S. Navy fast-attack nuclear submarine in a South Korean port, North Korea is now warning of a potential confrontation. The USS Alexandria submarine docked in a port in Busan on Monday for supplies. North Korea is accusing the U.S. of “posing a grave threat to its national security.” The country’s Ministry of Defense stated that the action could lead to a military confrontation and armed conflict in the region. North Korea believes that U.S.-South Korea joint military activities threaten peace on the Korean Peninsula, viewing them as practice for an invasion of Pyongyang.
