Palestinian Authority security forces have begun operations inside of Jenin.

Palestinian Authority security forces have launched operations inside of Jenin targeting Islamist militant groups. No specific reason for the raid has been given. Such actions by the Palestinian Authority are very rare as the Palestinian public opposes crackdowns against militant groups. Israel has denied any involvement with the operations.
