Paraguay has committed to retaining diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

Paraguay’s government has recommitted to maintaining relations with Taiwan. Paraguay is the only country in South America which recognizes Taiwan. China has placed increasing pressure on nations to withdraw recognition of Taiwan.
